Gitlab++: A Utility Tool for Draggable Tiles on Gitlab Boards

Gitlab++ is a free utility tool designed to enhance the functionality of Gitlab Boards by introducing draggable tiles. The inspiration for this tool came from years of using Jira and noticing the limited information displayed when clicking on Gitlab cards.

To get started, users need to generate a Gitlab Access Token with API read capabilities. Once the token is generated, they can easily set up the extension by following the instructions provided in the extension option page. It's important to note that the Access Token is stored locally on the browser and not online, ensuring data security.

With Gitlab++, users can click on any issue card in the Gitlab Board view to create a popup that displays the issue title and description. Clicking on the card again removes the popup, and the ESC key can be used to close all popups. The popups are also draggable, allowing users to move them around and organize them as desired.

In the future, the developers plan to add more information to the tiles and provide a way to organize them. It's worth mentioning that Gitlab++ is an independent tool and not officially affiliated, associated, endorsed, or connected with any other company, agency, or government agency.
